Product Description
Solid Aluminum Dihydrogen Phosphate (ADP) is a high‑purity inorganic phosphate binder widely used in refractory materials, high‑temperature ceramics, anti‑corrosion coatings, and metal surface treatments. As a free‑flowing white powder, solid ADP reacts with alumina‑based aggregates to form a dense phosphate‑bonded structure with excellent mechanical strength, thermal stability, and chemical resistance.
Upon heating, ADP undergoes controlled dehydration and polymerization, converting into a stable AlPO₄ ceramic network. This transformation provides outstanding bonding strength and long‑term durability at temperatures exceeding 1200°C, making it ideal for demanding high‑temperature industrial applications.
Key Features & Advantages
·Strong room-temperature bonding with progressive strength development during thermal curing
·Excellent flexural and compressive strength after 350–500°C heat treatment
·Outstanding water and hydration resistance with no softening after soaking or boiling
·Low gas release and minimal linear shrinkage during firing
·Strong compatibility with alumina, graphite, and high-alumina aggregates
·High resistance to thermal shock, cracking, and spalling
·Dense phosphate chemical bond resistant to slag and chemical attack
Typical Applications
·Castable and monolithic refractory systems
·Ramming mixes and gunning / shotcrete materials
·Plastic refractories and repair mortars
·Steel ladle and tundish linings
·Rotary kiln linings in cement plants
·Regenerator and burner blocks in glass furnaces
·High-temperature insulation materials and ceramic fiber modules
·Wear-resistant linings and thermal repair materials
Performance Characteristics
SADP-based refractory systems are designed to deliver reliable performance under aggressive thermal and mechanical conditions. The phosphate-bonded structure provides excellent hot strength, maintains dimensional stability during thermal cycling, and resists degradation caused by moisture, slag, and chemical exposure.
